What Monarcha does

Monarcha is an AI-powered georeferencing platform built for mining, infrastructure, and land intelligence teams. It turns scanned maps, plats, and land documents into accurate, queryable spatial data in seconds. Aligning historical maps, plats, and survey drawings to real-world coordinates is tedious work. Most teams either hire specialists or skip it entirely, leaving critical spatial data locked in documents. Monarcha lets users upload any document and get a fully georeferenced, queryable GIS layer in 90 seconds or less. Want to learn more? Check out monarcha.ai

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built an AI-powered platform that takes scanned maps, plats, and survey documents and turns them into accurately georeferenced, queryable GIS layers. Our product solves the tedious task of aligning old land documents to real-world coordinates, which mining and infrastructure teams need to analyze spatial data locked in paper or image files. Users upload any map or land record, and within 90 seconds they get back spatial data they can query and use immediately.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco's access to technical talent and proximity to our initial user base in mining and infrastructure makes it the right place for us. Being here also helps us connect with investors and potential partners during and after YC.
