What Mimir does

Mimir is venture backed startup in Indianapolis, Ind., focused on creating products to better computer science. We’re hiring rapidly to help satisfy the educational needs of instructors and students all over the world. Our primary product, the Mimir Classroom, is deployed in more than 70 universities allowing computer science instructors to teach their courses more effectively! We don’t need (or want) you to be perfect, but we expect you to work hard, move fast, and constantly iterate until we get it right. What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built the Mimir Classroom, a platform that helps computer science instructors run their courses more effectively by automating grading, identifying plagiarism, and providing tools tailored to STEM education. It's used at over 70 universities.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Indianapolis, IN, and the company is based there. After YC, we plan to keep the company rooted here.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Indianapolis offers us a cost-effective base and access to local universities where we can pilot and improve our product. We plan to keep expanding from here rather than move to a traditional tech hub.
