Layer By Layer is an online marketplace for the buying, selling, and sharing of printable 3D designs. We're going to make it possible to get the things you need and want by printing them yourself, from your own home. We want to allow anyone, technologist or amateur, to be able to use a personal 3D printer - so we decided to create an easy way for people to find and print great products.

We're building an online marketplace where anyone can buy, sell, and share printable 3D designs. Our product makes it easy for people with personal 3D printers - whether experts or amateurs - to find and print things they need or want directly from home.
We live in Mountain View, CA, and plan to base the company here after YC as well.
Mountain View has great access to the hardware and 3D printing community, which is key for us to stay close to both users and emerging tech in this space.
