What Glassjar does

Glassjar designs and develops software that enables its users to manage their flat's shared expenses. We built Flatting, a software app that helps flatmates keep track of shared expenses, payments, and their flat account. It shows a dashboard with balances, individual ledgers, and spending summaries so everyone knows who owes what and how much is available to spend.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Mountain View, CA, but Glassjar was founded in Wellington, New Zealand. After YC, we'd be based in Mountain View.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're currently in Mountain View and want to be here after YC because we have better access to engineering talent, investors, and a larger market, even though the company started in Wellington.
