What Foodoro does

Foodoro is a marketplace where people can buy specialty food directly from artisanal Foodmakers Our goal is to help people discover amazing food products and connect them with the folks who make their food Our company was started in 2008 by a small group of folks obsessed with food and technology People were always telling us about small Foodmakers who make amazing products, but we found it difficult to get our hands on their food. So, we decided to build a better way to help people discover and buy the best food products anywhere

Marketplace to buy artisanal specialty food

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built Foodoro to connect people who want to discover unique, small-batch food products with the artisans who make them. Our product is a marketplace where users can browse and buy specialty food directly from Foodmakers who often don't have retail presence or easy distribution channels.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and the company would remain based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where we are already building Foodoro and where many Foodmakers and early food tech adopters live. It's the natural place for us to grow our network and scale the marketplace.
