We built Evidence as an open source BI tool that replaces drag-and-drop interfaces with code. Users write SQL and markdown to create polished data products, making complex analysis and dashboards more maintainable and version-controlled.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Toronto and the company is based there, but we operate with a remote team structure.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Toronto has a strong engineering talent pool, and we can work remotely, giving us access to people beyond the city. This setup suits how we work now and after YC.
