What EduRev does

EduRev is like a Netflix for Education with a layer of social networking. We want to make the process of education and learning so good that you (and your kids) don’t feel the need to go to a school/college/coaching. EduRev stands for Education Revolution and we are looking to achieve nothing less. EduRev has over 7 million students and adds around 10 new users each minute. We are backed by the iconic American VC Y Combinator, Artiman Ventures and even angel investors like Anand Chandrashekaran, Austen Allred, Martin Basiri to name a few. What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built EduRev, a learning app that bundles a huge range of educational content for Indian students, structured like Netflix but with social features. It covers school and college level subjects, allowing students to learn without relying on traditional coaching or schools. Our platform combines video lessons, notes, quizzes, and social discussion to keep students engaged.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Chandigarh, India, and the company is based there now. After YC, we'll continue operating from Chandigarh.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We chose Chandigarh because we're from here and have a strong team and support network here. India is our market, so being based here puts us close to our largest user base and allows better product decisions focused on local needs.
