What Blaxel does

Blaxel is the perpetual sandbox platform for AI agents that need to run code fast. Unlike traditional sandboxes that expire or suffer from cold starts, our sandboxes automatically scale to zero after 1s of inactivity and resume in under 25ms with full memory state preserved - allowing you to keep millions of secure sandboxes on standby indefinitely. We also co-locate your agent logic alongside these sandboxes to eliminate network overhead, delivering near-instant latency for end users.

The perpetual sandbox platform

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built a sandbox platform for AI agents that run code. Unlike typical sandboxes that either expire or have slow cold starts, ours scales down to zero in 1 second and comes back online in under 25 milliseconds with the full memory state intact. This allows developers to keep millions of secure sandboxes ready indefinitely, eliminating cold start delays. We also run agent logic alongside the sandboxes to cut out network latency, delivering near-instant response times.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We all currently live in San Francisco, and the company will be based in San Francisco after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where our team lives and where most AI and cloud infrastructure innovation happens. It's the natural place for recruiting and meeting early users in developer tools and AI infrastructure.
