Prior to taking his position in Maine, Dr. Goldstein held an endowed chair at the University of Louisville and served as the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs for the School of Medicine. Before that, he was an associate professor of surgery (with tenure) at Vanderbilt University and director of the Vanderbilt Thyroid and Surgical Endocrinology Center. He also serves on the Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Board of Directors. He holds Master's from Harvard University, PhD from Vanderbilt University, MD from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and BA from Amherst College.
