He has over 20 years of international pharmaceutical and biotech experience. Most recently he held the position of Vice President of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for Onyx Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company based in South San Francisco, California. He was responsible for the startup of the Company's international organization and for the pre-launch and launch of its Hematology potential blockbuster Kyprolis outside the US. Before joining Onyx Pharmaceuticals, he held several roles of increasing responsibility with Amgen including Head of International Oncology Franchise, General Manager of Italy, and Vice President and General Manager of France, the Company's largest market outside the US. He started his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Eli Lilly in Italy followed by 5 years at the Company's US headquarters, where after leading the CNS Sales South Region, he headed Global Pricing and Access for the CNS portfolio. He is a highly successful senior commercial bio-pharma/'biotech leader in Europe. He has delivered a track record across diverse products and therapeutic areas with experience gained on both sides of the Atlantic. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Parma, and an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan. He currently resides near Zurich, Switzerland, and is an active member of Help for Hope, a nonprofit organization with the mission to help children in need around the world.
