Prior to joining Evans Randall, Gardner was at New Zealand law firm Russell McVeagh. Gardner holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1995.
