Mr. Ahmed Fahour served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Latitude Financial Services. He is a renowned business leader and served as Chairman of Pro-Pac Packaging, non-executive Chairman of The Hairhouse Warehouse and was non-executive Chairman of BCG Digital Ventures. Mr. Fahour began his career at Boston Consulting Group and worked on post-merger integration, corporate vision and strategy and mergers and acquisitions. He was appointed a Director of Boston Consulting Group in 1997 and subsequently became Managing Director of iFormation Group, a private equity joint venture with Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic Partners and Boston Consulting Group. In 2000, Mr. Fahour joined Citigroup in New York, where he became a member of its global management committee and also held the position of Head of Corporate Development. He subsequently became Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup Alternative Investments. Ahmed was recruited from Citigroup to National Australia Bank (NAB) in 2004 and served as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer for NAB/MLC until 2009. He transformed the bank's culture and restructured its operations and in 2006 NAB was named "Bank of the Year" by Money magazine and received the Australian Marketing Institute's National Award for Brand Revitalisation. In February 2010, Mr. Fahour began as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Australia Post. He oversaw the development of a business renewal program at Australia Post to implement a more customer-focused business model. Throughout his seven years at Australia Post Ahmed developed strategies to extend Australia Post's communications business, both physically and digitally, and to expand its operations into new areas of activity, including road freight and the creation of a multibillion-dollar business called StarTrack. Ahmed has held many other appointments during his career and has previously served as a Director of the Carlton Football Club, Board Member of Methodist Ladies College, Chair of the Council for Australian-Arab Relations, and Non-Executive Director of the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. In 2014, Mr. Fahour was appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the La Trobe University Business School. In addition to his extensive work within the business sector, he is also an active member of Australia's Muslim community and contributed to promoting ways to counter Islamic extremism. He is an Australian Special Envoy to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and was one of the founders of the Islamic Museum of Australia, the first centre of its kind in Australia dedicated to Islamic art and Muslim artists. In January 2017, Mr. Fahour was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to business and as a supporter of improved multicultural relations. Mr. Fahour has a Bachelor of Economics and Honorary Doctorate from La Trobe University and an MBA from the University of Melbourne.
