This is slow, expensive, and unpredictable. They rely on fragile DOM parsing that breaks on legacy and complex sites, and you can never fully trust what the agent will do on unintuitive or inconsistent workflows. Our approach: Libretto helps your coding agents generate workflows as actual, readable code during development, not at runtime. Under the hood it combines Playwright with direct in-session network/API calls for reliability and bot detection evasion. It also supports step-through debugging and a read-only mode to prevent accidental data changes while your agent builds and debugs workflows. This makes Libretto cheaper, faster, and easier to maintain, especially for more complex websites and high stakes workflows.
