Pandora meets Yelp for K-12 educational videos

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built a site that aggregates short video lessons for K-12 students and matches each user with the best videos based on their learning needs and style. The platform helps students prepare for tests, understand tough topics, and find great teachers tailored to them, making school learning more personal and effective.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work primarily in San Francisco, with part of the team remote. After YC, the company will continue to be based in San Francisco, taking advantage of the tech ecosystem here.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the talent and networks crucial for building and scaling a tech-driven education platform like Knowmia. Being remote-friendly also lets us tap into educators and engineers outside the city.
