What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We're building InfluxDB, an open source time series database designed specifically to handle high volumes of metrics and events from DevOps and IoT data. It makes storing, querying, and analyzing time series data easier and faster than traditional databases.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in New York City and San Francisco, with remote team members. After YC, we'll base the company primarily in San Francisco.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where the ecosystem for startups and infrastructure companies is denser, and where most customers and early users are. We maintain presence in NYC and remote to stay connected to our team and users.
