What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

Consus verifies and tracks the active revisions of government specifications, standards, and handbooks. It notifies users when documents update and helps them extract relevant information quickly. The product is intended for companies in government contracting and industrial sectors who need to stay current to win bids and deliver on contracts without delays caused by outdated or hard-to-find requirements.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

Eric is based in San Francisco, CA, and the company operates remotely with that as the main base; post-YC we plan to keep the company headquartered in San Francisco.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are in San Francisco because that's where Eric lives, and the startup ecosystem, including YC, is centered here. Remote work lets us tap talent flexibly but having a SF HQ helps with fundraising and networking.
