What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We make Cinder, a countertop smart grill that uses two ceramic heating elements to precisely control temperature. It lets people who care about cooking control their grilling indoors with consistency and precision that standard grills or stoves can't match.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Palo Alto, CA and the company is based here.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're based in Palo Alto because it's where we live and the hub for hardware startups and technical talent, which helps in iterating quickly and building the product.
