What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We're building Void, an open source code editor with AI-assisted coding features similar to Cursor and GitHub Copilot. Unlike those, Void lets developers keep their code and data private by connecting directly to any large language model without sending data to a third party. It's for developers who want AI help but don't want to sacrifice control or security.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We're here because we live here. San Francisco puts us in the middle of other dev tool startups and AI companies, making recruiting and networking easier.
