We built DraftTheRecord Desktop to help court reporters capture and transcribe proceedings locally. It records audio and video sessions, generates enhanced transcripts, and provides a focused workspace to review content efficiently. Our product is tailored specifically for the workflows and accuracy needs of court reporters.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and after YC the company would remain based here to stay close to the ecosystem and our users.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where we are rooted and where much of the legal tech innovation happens. Being here makes it easier to engage with court reporters and iterate quickly on their feedback.
