Sage is changing this reality. We take your code and automatically generate a symbol-level knowledge base that self-updates to remain forever fresh. We integrate with source control to pull your code and generate a symbolic graph representation of functions, classes, interfaces, types, etc., automatically determining the relevant context for each symbol, and using LLMs to annotate and propagate documentation via traversals of the symbol graph. We build Sage, a knowledge base that automatically generates and maintains itself from your code. It integrates with your source control to pull your entire codebase, builds a symbol-level graph of code elements like functions, classes, and types, and uses large language models to annotate and update documentation continuously. This keeps your code knowledge fresh and easily searchable via an interactive chat interface, so engineers spend less time ramping up and navigating complex code.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco and remote locations. After YC, we plan to base the company in San Francisco to stay close to our users and the tech ecosystem.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where we live and where many of our early users are located. Being here allows us to build relationships with engineering teams directly and recruit talent if needed.
