We built Gecko for teams that want to build secure code quickly without wasting time on security tools that don’t deliver results, or relying on one-time human pentests that quickly become outdated. Gecko uses AI to understand how your application should work, simulates relevant attacks to find critical vulnerabilities, and then verifies these vulnerabilities by exploiting them. It also helps you understand the risk of these vulnerabilities and applies a working fix to keep your code secure.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built Gecko to help engineering teams find and fix critical security vulnerabilities in their code quickly without relying on ineffective tools or infrequent pentests. Our product uses AI to understand how an application is supposed to work, simulate attacks to uncover real issues, exploit those vulnerabilities to verify them, assess the risk, and finally apply working fixes automatically.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based here during and after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Being in San Francisco means we're at the center of startup and security tech innovation, with access to peers, customers, and investors that help us move fast. We want to stay here for those advantages and connections.
