Framebase is programmatic video. Writing applications which use video in a meaningful way is extremely difficult. And then there's the maintenance. Framebase makes video a first-class object. Instead of hiring a team to deal with transcoding configurations, device compatibility bugs, or CDN contracts, Framebase lets you add two lines of code to start treating videos as class instances. Framebase is a pivot of TapIn.tv, which is a Y Combinator S 2012 company.

Framebase is an API that makes video a programmatic object you can manipulate with just a couple of lines of code. It handles transcoding, device compatibility, and CDN management so developers don't have to build and maintain complex video infrastructure themselves.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and Framebase would be based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are based in San Francisco because that's where the team lives and where the tech startup ecosystem is strongest, which helps us recruit, fundraise, and stay close to early users.
