On demand ephemeral environments for tests

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We provide engineering teams with on-demand environments that spin up instantly to run both manual and automated tests against their full tech stack. Unlike CI tools like CircleCI that only run automated tests, Dockup lets developers and testers deploy a real version of their app with all services live, so they can manually verify changes without mocks or spinning up complicated local setups. This reduces bugs slipping into production and speeds up PR reviews.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We split our time between Bengaluru, India and Mountain View, CA. After YC, we plan to base the company in both locations to stay close to key engineering talent and US customers.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We chose to live and work across these two locations to combine access to top engineering talent in India with proximity to customer and investor networks in Silicon Valley. Both places are important to growing Dockup.
