Democracy Earth ne yapar

Our mission is to build a sustainable democracy for the Information Age. We create censorship resistant, free and open source software that can deploy democracies anywhere there's an internet connection. We have implemented governance infrastructure for crypto networks; shadow referendums for activists in critical countries and the first Quadratic Voting implementation in the USA for the Colorado Legislative House. Backed by Templeton Foundation (2019), Y Combinator (2015) and Fast Forward (2016). Presented on TED Global (2014). Awarded by MIT Technology Review (2017) and Singularity University (2016). We did research for Alphabet, World Economic Forum and the University of Berkeley.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build open source software that enables fully decentralized, censorship-resistant digital democracies. Our platform lets communities anywhere with internet run secure elections and vote on proposals without intermediaries. We have also built governance tools used by crypto networks, activist shadow referendums in sensitive countries, and launched the first Quadratic Voting system for the Colorado House.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Madrid, Spain, and the company is based here with a remote setup. After YC, we would continue operations remotely but could spend time in Silicon Valley during the program.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Madrid is where we have our connections, co-founders, and initial users. Remote work lets us access talent and stay flexible, while YC's presence in Silicon Valley offers critical networking and scaling opportunities.
