Consumer app coordinating group activities

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We're building Grid, a consumer app that helps groups organize and coordinate activities together. It simplifies figuring out who's available, what everyone wants to do, and where to meet, all in one place. The product handles scheduling and decision-making for casual events among friends or small groups.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Mountain View, CA; Honolulu, HI; and remote. After YC, the company would be based in Mountain View to be close to the startup community and resources.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We chose Mountain View for the company base post-YC because it's where the tech ecosystem is strongest and where we can get the most support and feedback. The founders are spread out now but plan to work closely together around Mountain View.
