With a unique spin on traditional payroll, Trayd is on a mission to create back office efficiencies for commercial subcontractors while simultaneously addressing the significant labor shortage affecting the $2.1TR North American construction industry. Trayd is bigger than construction payroll. It's the promise that the hardest working people get access to their money, as and when they need it, creating greater financial wellness across the board. Not only that, we are pioneering digital cash access for a demographic traditionally overlooked while simultaneously modernizing operations in an industry that has been slow to adapt. We're building a B2B construction payroll platform that lets construction workers get paid the same day they earn wages, instead of waiting 7-10 days like traditional payroll. Alongside payroll, we provide a back office management system tailored for commercial subcontractors, helping them run their operations more efficiently while addressing labor shortages.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in New York, NY, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

New York is where our team is and where the construction market we serve operates heavily. Being on the ground helps us understand customer pain points and run the business where construction subcontractors need us most.
