But still finding people to host and play these games with is challenging. Most solutions involve digging through discord servers, reddit, and specialty forums. We built StartPlaying.Games to solve this problem.

We built StartPlaying.Games to be the largest marketplace where players can find game masters to host digital tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. Our product makes it easy for the 40 million people who play these games to connect and schedule sessions without digging through discord or forums.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco and remotely across the US. After YC, we plan to base the company in San Francisco to stay close to the tech ecosystem and investors.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco offers unparalleled access to engineering talent, community, and investors. Since we are already mostly remote, being based here after YC allows us to build key relationships and hire fast.
