Today, most project managers track this manually - tracing dependencies by hand, updating schedules, and notifying stakeholders one by one. It's slow, error-prone, and pulls focus away from the higher-order decisions that demand real expertise. Experienced project managers carry deep knowledge - of sequencing, trade-offs, site realities, and stakeholder dynamics - that no tool can replicate. Humance is built around that expertise. By handling the mechanical work of dependency tracking and schedule coordination, it frees project managers to do what they're actually skilled at: exercising judgment, managing complexity, and keeping the big picture in view.

We're building an AI-powered project management tool specifically for construction. It tracks dependencies across dozens of interdependent workstreams, updates schedules automatically, and notifies stakeholders. This lets project managers focus on judgment and managing complexity instead of manual coordination.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live remotely in different locations now, and after YC we plan to remain primarily remote to reflect our distributed team and customer base.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Construction projects are spread out and coordination happens largely remotely or on-site. Being remote lets us hire the best talent and serve customers wherever they are, which matches our users' workflow.
