Cocreate was built alongside our friends and colleagues - editors and their assistants, DITs, post supervisors, and UPMs - to design something that will keep individual professionals competitive in a landscape rapidly overrun by needless automation. We've spent the past few years collecting as many grumbling stories of production and post production inefficiency; lost footage, wasted time. Shots un-slated, timecodes un-jammed, script supervisor notes incoherent; days wasted on menial tasks. What if there was a tool to take care of all that?

We've built cocreate to help individual video production professionals - editors, assistants, DITs, post supervisors, UPMs - manage the chaos of production and post more efficiently. It organizes footage, syncs timecodes, keeps shot notes coherent, and handles menial tasks so they can focus on creative work instead of admin.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where our core team lives and where most of our early users are. It puts us close to the video production industry professionals we work with and lets us iterate quickly based on direct feedback.
