Astranis has raised over $750 million from some of the world’s best investors, from Andreessen Horowitz to Blackrock, and Fidelity, and employs a team of 450 engineers and entrepreneurs. Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.

We build and operate small geostationary satellites that provide dedicated internet networks to governments, enterprises, and the military. Our satellites serve customers with demanding uptime and security needs, allowing them to control customized communications infrastructure.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and the company is based there now and would remain based in San Francisco after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where our engineering and operations talent is concentrated. It gives us access to aerospace experts and investors needed to build complex satellites.
