We built Artifact to make it easy for people to record conversations and stories with important people in their lives. Our platform connects users with professional interviewers through a marketplace, schedules and records interviews, and delivers polished podcast-quality episodes hosted in an interactive, shareable format. Essentially, we're turning personal histories into beautiful audio experiences anyone can create and share.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We're based in San Francisco, CA, with a remote-friendly setup across a small team of about 10 people. After YC, we'll keep our headquarters in San Francisco and continue supporting remote work.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the talent and culture suited for building consumer content products. We live there now and it allows us to access both engineering and creative resources essential to Artifact's growth.
