Companies like Corpay, Brex, Rippling, Rho, Column, Settle, and many others have reduced application processing time by 80% with Accend, significantly enhancing their credit underwriting efficiency Before starting Accend, the founders led Product & Engineering on the Risk team at Brex as well as at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse so they have firsthand experienced issues with operational efficiency in credit/underwriting teams. Accend has raised a $3.2M seed round from Y Combinator, Adverb Ventures, General Catalyst and 645 Ventures.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We are building an end-to-end platform that automates commercial underwriting workflows at banks and fintechs. Our product handles document intake, financial statement and tax spreading, cash flow modeling, credit memo creation, and portfolio management with audit-ready AI complemented by human-in-the-loop accuracy. It reduces application processing time by about 80% for customers like Corpay, Brex, and Rippling, improving credit team efficiency.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work remotely without a fixed base and would continue to operate remotely after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Given the specialized nature of our product and dispersed team, remote work lets us focus on building software while working closely with customers across various locations. YC will help with network and fundraising without forcing relocation.
