It also checks to make sure all resources are tagged with your set tagging policy, and runs checks on the code against our FinOps policy packs, ensuring best practices are followed (e.g. using Graviton processors and storage lifecycle rules). This creates a cost-aware engineering culture.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build Infracost, a tool that integrates into engineering CI/CD workflows and shows the cloud cost impact of Infrastructure as Code changes before they ship. It catches costly cloud resource mistakes early by giving developers immediate feedback on cost and tagging issues, enforcing FinOps best practices.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live and work remote but are incorporated in a single legal entity. After YC we plan to stay remote but could be flexible on location.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Being remote lets us hire experienced engineers globally and stay lean. It fits our product focus on developer workflows and remote engineering teams.
