We just returned from the Mojave Desert testing our first full-scale reentry heat shield designed to protect the satellite as it returns from space at Mach 20+, built in an apartment for 100x cheaper than competitors. To test, we held it behind a rocket engine to simulate the forces of atmospheric reentry. IT WORKED! These vehicles protect and return valuable payloads safely to Earth at Mach 20+ speeds. We're also developing permanent Autonomous Space Stations designed for lights-out manufacturing, serviced by our reentry vehicles to scale this process.
We live in San Francisco, CA and plan to base the company here after YC as well.
San Francisco is where we are already based, and it has the technical talent and ecosystem to develop advanced aerospace hardware and complex manufacturing technologies. Staying here lets us move fast and connect with partners in space and materials industries.
