We're building infrastructure that search teams use to build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), search, and recommendation features fast. Trieve combines search language models with tools for tuning ranking, relevancy, and date recency out of the box. Teams can run semantic full-text search, customize their own relevance weighting, and integrate recommendations without maintaining months of code themselves.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company headquartered here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where our team is based and where a lot of search-focused product companies build. Being here puts us close to customers and engineering talent working on similar problems.
