We are building Docker, a container platform that lets developers package their applications with all their dependencies so the app runs the same everywhere. This solves the "works on my machine" problem and lets operators run multiple apps isolated on the same servers for better resource use.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco has the developer talent, infrastructure companies, and startups that need our product. Being here keeps us close to our early users and potential partners.
