Bunkyr eliminates these obstacles in a way that is friendly to both developers and users, cost-effective, and extremely fast. Users won’t even know Bunkyr exists, while their data stays protected against both breaches and lost passwords.

We are building Bunkyr, an API service that enables companies to protect user data with hardware-secured, zero-knowledge encryption. Our solution removes the need for seed phrases or backup codes, providing a secure and user-friendly way to recover encrypted data when passwords are lost, without exposing keys or compromising zero-knowledge security.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Denver, CO, and plan to continue to base the company here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Denver lets us work with a small tight-knit team in cost-effective conditions. We don't need to be in Silicon Valley and want to build a remote-friendly, sustainable company from here.
