SpruceID lets users control their data across the web. Instead of people signing into platforms, we imagine platforms should sign into people’s data vaults. We implement this pattern into digital wallet ecosystems for governments, enterprises, and blockchains. We believe that architectures that enable individual autonomy in the digital world are necessary for free societies and dynamic economies to thrive.

We build SpruceID, a system where instead of platforms owning user accounts, platforms sign into users' personal data vaults. Our product integrates digital wallet ecosystems for governments, enterprises, and blockchains, enabling individuals to control and manage their identity and data securely. It's a shift from platform-controlled identities toward user autonomy over digital identity.
We are distributed with a presence in New York, NY, and remote team members. After YC, we'd remain based in New York while supporting a remote culture.
We chose New York because it's increasingly central to government tech and web3 sectors, which our product serves. Our team embraces remote work, but New York remains our HQ for access to partners and talent.
