Mochi is an app for watching and creating anime microdramas - short, fast-paced episodic shows with a cliffhanger every minute. We produce originals with AI, working with writers from big studios, and users can create shows directly in the app. Anyone who loves anime or wants to make their own can use Mochi. We're focused on letting fans both enjoy and participate in anime storytelling.

We live and work in San Francisco, CA. The company will continue to be based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is the right place for us: it's a center for both AI and consumer tech, and it's where our team is already based. We're able to work together in person and access local talent and networks.
