We built Firebender, an AI coding agent that integrates directly into IntelliJ for Android developers. It understands your entire codebase, can answer questions, debug, and write features using the best available AI models. Unlike others, it taps into emulator states, Compose previews, and language server tools like find usages and renaming. It also keeps itself updated with the latest Android SDKs and libraries to provide accurate advice specific to Android development.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA and plan to keep the company based here after YC.

San Francisco is where we already live and where the Android engineering community is strong. It simplifies recruiting and customer engagement in our core market.
