It turns out: the face filters you see everywhere on Snapchat and Instagram are created by independent artists - not by the platforms. These artists ALMOST NEVER get money for their work - which is insane! Filta fixes this by giving these creators a marketplace and the best filter creation tool anywhere. What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We're building a marketplace where creators can sell limited-edition face filters as NFTs directly to their fans. Our platform also includes the best tools for creating these filters, helping independent artists who currently earn almost nothing from their work on Snapchat and Instagram.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, and the company will be based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where we and many of our users and partners are based. It's also a hub for AR, VR, and crypto, which makes it the natural place for Filta.
