What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We are building custom silicon chips that run embedded computer vision and neural network inference at the lowest power possible. Our chips combine proprietary asynchronous resilient technology with a custom neural network architecture to run both AI and traditional vision tasks efficiently. This lets devices like augmented reality gear, body-worn cameras, and autonomous robots process visual data while using a tiny fraction of the power current chips need.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live now in San Francisco, and the company would be based there after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco lets us be close to both advanced hardware talent and potential customers in robotics and AR. It's the best place for a small hardware startup aiming to build and ship silicon for embedded AI.
