What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We make a coffee machine for offices, hotels, and restaurants that brews cafe-quality coffee at the push of a button. Our proprietary brewing tech matches the speed and convenience of Keurig without the waste and low quality of pods. The machine uses fully compostable single servings with freshly roasted whole bean coffee and tea, and we handle installation, maintenance, and automatic re-stocking of a menu tailored to each client.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA, and Pearl will be based here after YC as well.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco gives us access to hardware talent, coffee roasters, and a strong early adopter market among tech companies that care about office coffee quality.
