We are building cmux, an open-source terminal designed specifically for coding agents. It lets developers run, manage, and interact with AI-driven coding assistants in a terminal environment. The product streamlines how developers use AI tools to write and debug code in their daily workflows.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in San Francisco, CA and will base the company here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are already in San Francisco, where we have access to a strong tech and AI community. Staying here keeps us close to users and talent relevant to AI developer tools.
