It error-checks workbooks end-to-end, builds models from scratch, and handles grunt work like extracting and linking data from IMs to template models - all within Excel so teams can review and iterate as usual. Agents struggle with tabular data - getting reliable, multi-step execution over thousands of interlinked formulas, sheets, and ranges is hard. Making Crunched good enough for people who live in Excel means knowing the pain points deeply. Michael and Philip has 10,000+ hours in Excel across consulting and finance. Markus and Lars bring deep expertise in scaling AI and enterprise solutions. We've had easy access to first customers and are already live with firms across six European countries - we now plan to expand into the US. With >1bn total Excel users, we focus on the top 2%, highest-value Excel users globally. We're solving one pain point at a time to create a product that doesn't just look good in a demo but actually works in production. Excel is here to stay, but the way experts model is fundamentally changing - with Crunched.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built Crunched to be the Excel AI analyst for power users in consulting, investment banking, and private equity. It error-checks complex workbooks end-to-end, builds financial models from scratch, and automates tedious tasks like extracting and linking data from IMs to template models - all inside Excel so users keep their existing workflow and control. Excel AI is hard because agents struggle with multi-step reasoning over thousands of interlinked formulas and sheets; we know these pain points intimately because Michael and Philip have spent 10,000+ hours in Excel in finance and consulting, and Markus and Lars know how to scale AI in enterprise workflows. We focus on the top 2% of Excel users who need reliable, production-grade assistance, not flashy demos.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

The founders are currently spread across multiple locations; we don't have a single base now. After YC, we plan to establish a company presence in the US to expand there.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are remote because our founding team is distributed across Europe. We plan to expand into the US market after YC since most of the top Excel power users and early customers live there.
