Bountii was founded in the Summer of 2007 by Samir Meghani and John Puskarich. Initial investment was provided by Y Combinator, a venture firm that specializes in funding early stage startups.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built a price search engine that finds shoppers lower and more accurate prices than existing comparison sites. It currently covers electronics and appliances and helps consumers buy online at the best possible price with less hassle.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Watertown, MA, and would keep the company based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We chose to base the company in Watertown because that's where we live and can operate efficiently with the small founding team.
