YearEnd helps startup employees optimize their equity and taxes, and can also file their tax returns. They simply connect their financial accounts and YearEnd will tell them how much tax they’ll owe and will make recommendations on how to make better decisions. At the end of the year, YearEnd can also file their tax return for them or they can collaborate with their existing tax accountant.

We built a platform that helps startup employees see their equity and tax picture in real-time. Users connect their financial accounts, and YearEnd calculates how much tax they owe and suggests better moves. At year-end, we either file their tax returns or integrate with their accountant.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We're based in San Francisco, CA with a partly remote team. After YC, we'd remain based in San Francisco, continuing to build here where the startup ecosystem is.

Explain your decision regarding location.

San Francisco is where most of our users are and where we connect best to the startup and fintech communities. Our team is partly remote but needs to be near this hub to build relationships and hire talent.
