Cedana (YC S23) brings hyperscaler and frontier-lab orchestration capabilities for AI workflows. Our core capability is live migration for CPUs and GPUs workloads. This increases cost savings up to 80%, accelerates time to first token 2-10x, and enables stateful reliability of training jobs even through catastrophic GPU failures. We've integrated our solution into K8s, and support Kueue and Slurm for training distributed jobs, and Kserve for serving inference. OpenAI, Meta and Microsoft have flavors of these capabilities internally and we’re bringing them to everyone. Our vision is to transform cloud compute into a real-time, arbitraged commodity.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We build software that enables live migration of AI training and inference workloads on CPUs and GPUs. Our product reduces cost by up to 80%, speeds up time to first token by 2-10x, and makes training jobs resilient to GPU failures. We integrate with Kubernetes, Kueue, Slurm, and Kserve to manage distributed AI workloads with stateful reliability.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We are based in New York, NY, with a remote team spread out in multiple locations. After YC, we will continue to be primarily New York-based with remote flexibility.

Explain your decision regarding location.

New York gives us access to a deep technical talent pool and proximity to enterprise customers experimenting with AI infrastructure, which is central to our B2B focus. Remote work allows us to tap into global talent and stay agile.
