Cairns Health is creating a fundamentally better healthcare experience for people with chronic health conditions and those who care for them. We make healthcare more accessible by simplifying complex care plans, connecting care teams and meeting patients where they live. Through our conversational AI, patients use their voice to interact with our digital care companion, who proactively gives medication reminders, symptom checks, behavioral nudges and even engages in friendly conversation to ease loneliness. Cairns uses a device that includes radar to put the patient in context and passively monitors their activities, including: heart rate, breathing rate and sleep stages, all without a wearable. The result is informed and timely intervention that drives improved clinical outcomes, reduced care delivery costs and a more satisfactory healthcare experience for all.

What is your company going to make? Please describe your product and what it does or will do.

We built a device and conversational AI for people with chronic conditions. Patients use their voice to interact with a digital care companion that gives medication reminders, symptom checks, and behavioral prompts. Our radar sensor monitors vital signs like heart rate and sleep without wearables, so we get quiet, continuous data to intervene early and reduce hospital visits.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Sunnyvale, CA, and the company is based here now and would remain here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

Sunnyvale is where our team is and where we have access to technical talent and healthcare partners. Staying here keeps us close to our users and hardware suppliers.
