We built Bolster as a marketplace where general contractors, subcontractors, retailers, and consumers can find and buy residential construction materials from a database of over 114,000 real items. Our platform turns traditional estimates into interactive point-of-sale experiences, letting contractors manage and sell materials online for the first time.

Where do you live now, and where would the company be based after YC?

We live in Calgary, AB, Canada, and would be based here after YC.

Explain your decision regarding location.

We are based in Calgary because it's where we know the market and have built initial traction. It's practical and keeps us close to our early customers in construction.
